JEAN RUPPRECHT

I am an Upstate New York girl who grew up roaming the woods and fields near my rural home. I loved to observe scudding clouds and the golden light at the end of the day, and Nature was my muse. My mother instilled in me a love of gardening that has stayed with me to this day.
 

My studio landscapes are based on location photos and Plein Air (outdoor) studies and my floral paintings are created from the cut flowers I bring inside and arrange. My paintings have been described as both vibrant and imbued with a sense of serenity. I have a sun-filled studio in an old brick building called Dilworth Artisan Station and my happiest hours are spent there.
